Supporting Program

It is planned to have joint dinners for early arrivals on March 5, 2013 and for all participants on March 6, 2013 (on own expenses). 

Furthermore, the following excursions on March 7, 2013 will be offered :


PIXAR. 25 Years of Animation Museum for Art and Crafts
The Museum of Arts and Crafts is located in neo-renaissance palace similar building (1867). The collections displayed range from the antique to the present and encompass fragments of European, Islamic and the Far Eastern culture. The special exhibition "PIXAR. 25 Years of Animation" gives information on the making of cartoon movies with more than 500 objects on display.

Admission fee: 10€ (after 5pm 7€, for groups of 10 people 7€ p.p.).

Hamburg Harbour
To explore maritime Hamburg we suggest to get on bord of one of the harbour ferries that have been travelling on the Elbe since 1888. They start at "Landungsbrücken", the HVV day-ticket is accepted.

 HVV harbour ferry Line 62: from Landungsbrücken, pier 3 to Finkenwerder and back (around 1h), starting at full hour every 15 min.: Charming Elbe trip via the Museumshafen (museum port), along the Övelgönne bank to the other side of the Elbe.    
HVV harbour ferry Line 72: Landungsbrücken - Elbphilharmonie and back (15 min.), every 15 minutes past and 15 min. the hour.: Across the Elbe to the HafenCity.
